Ferment your own vegetables or make sauerkraut in a handmade fermentation pot. Ready for a pottery challenge?

Forever learning.

Do you love pottery as well as fermenting your own vegetables or making sauerkraut? Then why not challenge yourself and throw your very own fermenting pot on the wheel. A large tall shape, with two (or more) handles, a double high rim into and a lid that fits perfectly. In the space between the double rim you add water, creating a water lock. And while you’re at it, why not make some weighted stones to help you in the fermentation process? As you can tell, this is a project that requires quite a few different techniques.
