The From Clay to Bowl course is designed especially for beginning ceramists. The video lessons are recorded so that they focus on the teacher’s hands. So it’s like constantly watching their fingers. If you didn’t see a particular action correctly, pause the video, rewind and watch the footage again.

The video lessons also show you the most common mistakes made from the front row. If you have questions about a particular operation or technique, ask in the online community. Your instructor and fellow students will be happy to give you advice and specific tips. That way you know you’re not just learning.

Moreover, your teachers are all master ceramists with tons of experience in the world of pottery, ceramics, clay, glazes and so much more. They are also great at teaching. This way you are sure to master pottery in a structured and clear way. Just ask your fellow students. After eight weeks, you will be showing off your own series of handmade bowls!

Where and when you want to learn

The biggest advantage of online courses, according to our Cursists, is that you learn at your own pace. A full schedule and no time to drive to a studio is no longer an excuse. As soon as you have an hour free, turn on your computer, tablet or smartphone, surf to the learning platform and start your next lesson. Whether in your own studio, while commuting or while waiting.

Not only beginners enjoy the benefits of online learning.
Advanced students will also find their liking in the offerings of The Cursist:

This is how your fellow students feel about online courses

“Very good online courses! They gave me the knowledge and confidence to work on my own at home. My job with irregular hours makes it impossible for me to take a physical course at regular intervals. But through these online courses that are nicely structured and filmed, and through the possibility of revisiting the images of more difficult pieces for life, an old dream became a reality. Thank you for this!”
Karen

“The lessons are really great explained and filmed and because they are online, you can watch them when it suits you. Personally, I learned a lot more this way than in a weekend studio run. You can watch and listen to how to proceed at your leisure, you can also easily pick out what you did or are doing wrong. The social side and any questions are provided via Facebook and mail so as far as I’m concerned really highly recommended.”
Gina

“Super good courses! Quality explanations from super good instructors. Beautifully constructed! Very accessible to beginners (and presumably advanced). Very attractive platform to view the course as well as easy to use.”
Sarah

“The online course ‘Graphic Decoration Techniques’ with Anima Roos is highly recommended! It contains a wealth of information and the courses are beautifully constructed! The downloadable PDF documents are also an added value. Congratulations to the creators… I have no point for improvement…. The course personally taught me a lot and spurred me back to creative ideas.”
