Terra sigillata

Terra sigillata is a decorative technique in which clay slip made from iron-rich river clay is applied to leather-hard clay. Once the slip layer is polished, the terra sigillata displays its characteristic shine. You can obtain different colors and shades by choosing the powdered clay you start with.
