Looking for a firing service?

Don’t have your own kiln and want to have your work fired?

This map shows studios and individuals offering ceramic firing services — from bisque firing to glaze firing and refiring.

Enter your location and find a kiln near you where you can have your ceramics fired.

What to ask before you book a firing

Not every kiln is the same. Always check:

  • What type of kiln is it? (electric, gas, wood, raku…)
  • What temperature does it fire to?
  • What are the kiln’s dimensions? (important for larger pieces)
  • Is the price calculated per kilogram or per full kiln load?
  • What does a firing cost, or what’s the rate for renting the kiln?

That way you avoid surprises and know exactly what to expect.

Work professionally with a firing agreement

To make every firing run smoothly, we recommend using a ceramic firing agreement.

It lets you set clear arrangements upfront about:

temperature – glazes – fragility – costs – liability

Do you have your own kiln?

Does your kiln sometimes sit empty, or do you have room to spare alongside your own work? Help fellow makers in your area by opening up your kiln for firing services.

You decide what you offer, at what temperature and at what rate. Add your kiln to the map for free. That way, makers in your region can easily find their way to you.
