Sintering point

The moment in the firing process at which the clay is sintering is called the sintering point. Often, the maximum firing temperature of your clay is the temperature at which the clay sinters and thus vitrifies. Especially with stoneware, that point is more of a trajectory. That trajectory starts at the vitrification of the clay up to the point where the clay begins to deform.
