Urushi

Urushi is a type of lacquer obtained from the resin of the Urushi tree. It is an organic material that hardens when it comes into contact with oxygen and water. In ceramics, it is used as an adhesive in the Kintsugi technique and colored with natural pigments to decorate pieces.
