Damp box

A damp box is a sealed container used to keep clay or ceramic components damp during the creation process. It is a useful tool to prevent clay from drying out while working on a project. The damp box helps to keep the clay in an optimal damp condition, ensuring it’s still workable and doesn’t dry out or crack. A damp box contains a plaster board. By adding a little water to the plaster board and sealing the container, you create a humid environment that allows your pieces to dry very very slowly, ensuring they stay in the same condition for a very long time.
